If you purchase and install a retail copy of Office Home and Student 2013, Office Home and Business 2013, or Office Professional 2013, you will be able to transfer the license from one PC to another. In fact, you can also transfer other programs and files as well, not just Outlook, and they will all function just as on the old machine. Note that if you open the file you should be able to see all of your custom words. In this article, we’ll see how to transfer Microsoft Outlook, including emails, accounts, passwords, signatures, PSTs, NK2 files and the rest, from one computer to another. Once you go into that directory you should see the CUSTOM.dic file, which is what you’ll want to back up and transfer to the same location on the other system… or you could put it somewhere else if you’d like, for instance in your Documents folder. Unlike data transfer, moving programs to a new computer is a little bit difficult because of the activation problem. Either way the dialog above should tell you the full path. When you get a new computer and plan to replace your old one, you may want to transfer Microsoft Office to another computer.
